Dog on a Tuffet

I caught the tuffet fever and had to make one. My supervisor dog BooBoo helped with every step. So of course she had to have the first sit. She didn't think it was as funny as I did. I still laugh every time I look at it.

It's All About the Fabric

I had a design roll of Kaffe Fassett fabric for a couple of years and didn't know how to best use it without cutting the pieces up too small and losing the glorious fabric designs. I decided that diamonds would be ideal and the black sashing would make the colors pop. I've never made a diamond pattern before and I didn't even have a diamond template to use! So I used my 60-degree triangle ruler to make the shapes. Sewing with biased edges was tricky but I'm very happy with how this quilt came out. I used a beautiful blue fabric for the backing.
